Hi Friends,

I can't believe we are at the end of February! Time is flying by and we are fast approaching the season of Lent. What will the season mean for you this year? How will you be transformed? I encourage you and your family to discuss and ponder these questions together this week. How can this season be a life-giving time for your entire family?

This Sunday during SNL, we will have a "Last Blast Before The Fast" party where we will eat, have fun, and throw out our last "alleluias!" before Lent begins on Wednesday. Throughout Lent, the youth will gather for SNL every Sunday night (March 6th-April 10th) where we will be Baking Through The Bible for Lent. This series will teach us to connect with God through baking and scripture. It will lead us into our Maundy Thursday foot washing service and agape meal on April 14th, which the youth will host and bake bread for. These will be small but powerful ways that our teenagers can engage with each other and connect during this season.

I hope your entire family will join us at church on Tuesday for the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper from 5pm-7pm and on Wednesday for one of our many Ash Wednesday services! See you on Sunday!

Peace,
Hope
