Embrace Summer Wellness With Mindfulness
Offered at Duke since 1998, the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program invites participants to practice present-moment awareness, deep relaxation, and gentle movement. Through these techniques, participants learn to discover and observe their reactions to life’s stressors and choose how to respond.

Sessions start the week of April 10, 2024, virtually via Zoom or in person.
Join us for a weekly “taste” of mindfulness. New participants will learn meditation practices with instructor guidance. Experienced meditators can also deepen their daily practice in a community environment. No previous meditation experience is necessary.

Please note that beginning in January 2024, in-person drop-ins will be held on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. ET.
A Sound Bath Meditation is an immersive experience that uses resonant sounds to calm the nervous system and promote mind-body connection. Following a sound bath, participants report a variety of positive effects, including reduced stress, deeper and higher-quality sleep, and reduced perception of pain.

This program is often being offered on the Third Thursday of every month starting in April 2024.
Join those currently enrolled in a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course for a full-day meditation intensive. Renew or deepen your mindfulness practice in a supportive retreat environment.
