UPDATE FROM OUR CEO

April 2025 Newsletter

Good morning Casper,

I am excited about the potential of golf season starting and even more excited about new opportunities on the horizon for Casper.

If you attended our Quarterly Cocktails, you know we hosted Radiant's leadership team last week to further support them in expansion and integration and connect them with our community. After endless meetings, site visits, and one impactful town hall gathering; their 350,000-square-foot campus is starting to grow roots in Natrona County.

We are excited to finally share more details and strategic plans with you as we genuinely believe this is a generational opportunity for Casper.

Don't miss our Radiant recap below, and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

I'll see all of you at our Quarterly Breakfast on April 17th at 7am at the Casper Country Club.

Sincerely,

Justin

NEW & NOTEWORTHY IN

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Nuclear in Natrona County: What Radiant's Nuclear Microreactor Manufacturing Facility Means for Wyoming (& You)

Over the last several months, as an Advance Casper member, you've likely heard us spark conversation around Radiant's interest in Natrona County for their one-of-a-kind, portable nuclear microreactors. However, after having the leadership team in Casper last week to meet with the community, we wanted to share not only more details behind the organizations potential 350,000-square-foot manufacturing facility; but what it means for you, your business, and our city.

For those of you who are new here or are catching up with the breaking news in economic development, allow us to introduce you. Radiant is a clean energy startup, based in El Segundo, California, reimagining the modern energy industry through their Kaleidos 1MW microreactors. These microreactors will be the world's first portable, zero-emissions power source that works anywhere. Making them ideal for replacing diesel generators in remote villages and providing resilient backup power for: hospitals, data centers, military installations, and more.

Over the last year, we've extended our concierge services to the Radiant team to not only support them in site selection and expansion; but to welcome them home to Wyoming. & last week we were honored to host them as they shared their innovative process, strategic plan, and estimated economic impact locally.

A few key takeaways:

  • Radiant is looking forward to building their 70+ acre property just north of Bar Nunn in 2026, and partnering with Wyoming to revitalize the American nuclear industry.
  • By 2035 Radiant and Advance Casper are projecting 150MM+ total capital invested to scale to 50+ Kaleidos units per year and 250 jobs created; from machinists and mechanical engineers to technicians, shipping and receiving clerks and more.
  • The company boasts a 99.9% inherently safe reactor design that is significantly smaller than most other reactors. Moving forward they plan to store spent fuel in dry cask storage that is built to withstand water immersion, fires, high impact crashes and 30' drops. There has been zero injuries in over 25,000 shipments of spent nuclear fuel since the '60s.
  • Radiant is on track to test its prototype reactor at Idaho National Laboratory in 2026. This will be the first fueled operation of a new reactor design in over 50 years.
  • Radiant has raised $160MM in funding and already has 25+ reactors committed for production.
  • When it comes to the Wyoming factory, Radiant would be committing to a multi-decade relationship with the community which means investing in local talent, organizations, education, and events.

In conclusion, Advance Casper sees this as a generational opportunity, and we hope as our valued partner that you do too. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our team with any questions.
