SUPPORT OUR STUDENT COUNCIL:

APOYAR A NUESTRO CONSEJO ESTUDIANTIL:

The 5th Grade Student Council will be conducting its first service project of the year. They will be collecting, sorting, and delivering donated cans of dog and cat food to St. Hubert's Animal Shelter in Madison. Starting on Monday, October 23rd, all KRS students are encouraged to bring in canned dog and cat food. The canned food drive will officially end on November 15th. Canned dog and cat food can be dropped off at the bins in each hallway and/or given to any faculty member.

Another Opportunity

OTRA OPORTUNIDAD:

The Kings Road School Student Council will be leading its second annual Thanksgiving food drive to benefit the patients of the Health Start Clinic at Overlook Medical Center in Summit. Last year, KRS helped feed 275 families in our community! Our goal this year is to feed 300 and we know we can do it with your help! One of our K & 3 parents, Erin Donadio, is a volunteer at the clinic and facilitates this food drive every year. If you would like more information on the project, feel free to email her directly: Erin.Donadio@gmail.com or text at 973-951-4223

In order to streamline the collection we are asking each grade to donate a specific item. Items can be brought to your child’s homeroom teacher. There are collection bins in every classroom. Please deliver all items no later than Wednesday, November 15th. The grade that collects the highest number of items will receive a special prize from Erin Donadio personally.

  • Kindergarten: Boxes of instant mashed potatoes
  • 1st Grade: Boxes of Stuffing
  • 2nd Grade: Packets (envelopes) of dry gravy mix.
  • 3rd Grade: Packets (envelopes) of instant oatmeal.
  • 4th Grade: Canned Cranberry Sauce
  • 5th Grade: Canned Vegetables (Corn, Green Beans, Carrots etc)

ANNUAL APPEAL

LLAMAMIENTO ANUAL

Dear Kings Road Parents and Guardians,

As the school year unfolds with the promise of growth and learning, we, the Kings Road School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), are excited to reach out to you for our Annual Appeal. The PTO plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience for our students, and your support is instrumental in making this possible.

Why Your Support Matters:

Our school community thrives on collaboration and shared goals, and the PTO is at the heart of this partnership. The funds raised through the Annual Appeal contribute to a variety of programs and initiatives that directly benefit our children, including:

  • Enrichment Programs: From guest speakers and workshops to hands-on activities, we aim to provide unique learning experiences that go beyond the classroom.
  • Teacher Support: We invest in professional support opportunities, classroom supplies, and resources to empower our dedicated educators.
  • Community Building Events: Foster a sense of belonging and school spirit through events like family nights, community events, and cultural celebrations.

How You Can Contribute:

Monetary Donations: Every dollar makes a difference. Consider making a one-time donation to the PTO. If every family at KRS donated 20.00 during our annual appeal, we’d raise 6000.00

Volunteer Your Time: Your time is just as valuable as your financial support. Join our team of volunteers and contribute your skills and enthusiasm to various PTO activities.

Corporate Matching: Check if your employer offers a corporate matching program to maximize the impact of your donation.

How to Donate:

Send in cash or check to the PTO labeled “Annual Appeal” and/or venmo the KRS Treasurer at KRS-Treasurer and note “Annual Appeal.” Remember, no contribution is too small, and your involvement, whether through time or financial support, is deeply appreciated.

Why We Ask:

In this season of giving we often look to charitable endeavors to support, and we want you to look no further than the small but mighty efforts of our beloved school. By supporting our annual appeal you’d lessen the need for spring fundraising and bring joy to the journey of our mission. The PTO is a registered 501c.

Stay Connected:

Follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed about upcoming events, initiatives, and the impact of your contributions.

Thank you for being an essential part of our KRS community. Together, we can continue to create an enriching and supportive environment for our students to thrive.

Warm regards,

Your PTO Co Presidents

Tammy de Freitas and Katie Zurich
