🌟 Staff Member Highlight 🌟

Welcome to the team, Meredith Bush!

We are so excited to welcome Meredith in her new role as Director of Programs, where she will work closely with the executive team in providing guidance and leadership to the organization’s day-to-day program activities and program personnel, as well as developing, implementing, and evaluating the entire program’s infrastructure for each site. Her ability to understand educational trends and challenges gives valuable insight for maximizing the growth and development potential for club’s members.

We are very happy to announce the appointment of three new board members: Vivian Ikupolati-Adeniyi, Dr. Michelle Conover, and Alisa Prewitt! The new appointees bring their diverse expertise and backgrounds to the organization.

August Club Highlights

Open House

We had an amazing Open House at the Clubhouse this month. We would like to extend our gratitude to all the attendees and our special guests - thank you for making the event a huge success!

The Arts

Robyn Richardson, owner of Studio 92 Photography, hosted a 6 six week photography session for our middle school members at the Gary M. Thomas Clubhouse! She is teaching about portrait and landscape photography. The cameras we are using were donated by the Los Angeles Center of Photography in 2019.

Field Trips

We offered youth a unique way to end their summer this year! At the end of July and beginning of August, members had the chance to have daily field trips at different locations like the Getty Museum, Universal Studios, Skyzone, and more!

Grant for STEM

Thank you to the Aerojet Rocketdyne Foundation for your continued partnership and generous donation. Our members are so grateful for your support!

Ross Thank You Art

Members came together to create art pieces for our local Ross stores as a thank you for all of their support this Summer.

Through Project 10 Million, T Mobile is providing free hotspots with five years of free service to youth who qualify for free and reduced price lunch.
