As the year winds down, it’s a great time to pause and take stock of your finances. A simple year-end review can help you start 2026 with clarity and confidence. Here are a few easy places to begin:

Look at your spending. Review where your money went this year and note any categories that surprised you.
Check in on your savings goals. Whether you’re building an emergency fund or saving for something specific, a quick update helps you plan your next step.
Review your debt and payments. Make sure due dates, balances, and interest rates are still working for you.
Update your budget. Small adjustments now can make the new year feel less stressful.
Set one or two priorities for 2026. Keep them realistic and meaningful so they’re easy to stick with.

HOLIDAY TRADITIONS
Celebrating What Matters Most

The holidays look a little different for everyone, and we love hearing how our Nordstrom FCU team makes the season special. Simple traditions, favorite foods, or small moments at home all help create the warmth we look forward to each year.

Here are a few of our employees’ favorite holiday traditions:

Kelly-Ada: My family gets together Christmas Eve and we bake and decorate cookies to leave out for Santa that evening. Then, we vote on whose we think Santa will eat more of!
Meagan: My favorite holiday tradition is drinking hot cocoa while wrapping presents with the Grinch on.
Heidi: We do a big family game night on Christmas Eve. Also, I married into the tradition of the men buying corsages for their spouse to wear on Christmas day.
Sarah: My favorite tradition is after the family Christmas Eve party, my daughter and I always drive home the long way to look at all the neighborhood lights and decorations.
Peyton: Opening our gifts from youngest to oldest.
Eloisa: We usually travel to Mexico and celebrate there. When we stay here, my kids choose the day they want to celebrate with me; they bring a little something food-wise, and then we play the Mexican game Loteria. I love getting together with my kids and grandkids!

Wherever the season takes you, we hope it brings comfort, connection, and time with the people who matter most!

Benefits Fair Recap
