This week's scripture includes a crowd of people who mistake Paul and Barnabus for gods. Paul tries to explain that the one to worship is God, who created rain and the seasons giving them food and joy. The people were amazed by the miracle, but missed all the ways that God was with them already. Quietly providing and sustaining them each day.
God our creator and sustainer, we often overlook the ways You are working around us. Help us to notice and be encouraged by the little things. Amen.
WONDERING...
Real questions from real people to learn more about faith.
Your Geneva Lutheran Church Council has been busy! We have recently approved a plan for renewing our mortgage. Council is making progress towards improvements in the sanctuary. Look for more information in upcoming weeks about a special congregational meeting to approve the mortgage!

SUMMER IS TIME FOR GROWTH!
Let Pastor Trudyknow if you'd like to grow in your faith this summer by being part of Adult Confirmation. It's OK if you have already been confirmed in the Lutheran tradition or another tradition. Over the course 16 sessions you'll learn about the Bible, living out our faith, the ELCA and more.
ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE A "GENEROUS LIFE IN CHRIST"
BY SERVING NEIGHBORS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS
Geneva Lutheran is partnering with Bethlehem Lutheran and Baker Methodist in serving meals to the guests of Hesed House in Aurora six times each year. If you're the person who jumps up to help serve at social gatherings, this is the opportunity for you.
We are looking for on-site dinner servers on Friday April 28th from 6:00-9:00 pm. Contact John Maisch with any questions or just to learn more about these opportunities at jmaisch@optonline.net or cell 516-236-3184.
Happy National Volunteer Week! All of us at Lazarus House thank you! We couldn't do all we do without the help of Lisa and the parishioners at Geneva Lutheran!
Thank you, Megan Lopez, Volunteer Coordinator at Lazarus House
