AWMH welcomes articles on risk factors affecting women’s mental health and on policies aimed at preventing mental illness in women. To cover the full spectrum of women’s mental health, we encourage submissions not only from psychiatry and gynecology but also from related fields such as sociology, psychology, epidemiology, stress research, basic research, psychoendocrinology, neuroimaging, neuropsychology, and more. Interdisciplinary studies are especially welcome. We are also interested in contributions focusing on training and education in women’s mental health, as well as on mentoring programs for women.
The year 2024 has been a challenging one for many of us. Women, children, and men living in war zones are experiencing severe trauma that frequently results in serious mental health issues. As professionals, we understand the profound implications of this for the future, and we must raise our voices against violence wherever it occurs. Archives of Women’s Mental Health has published several research articles addressing the suffering caused by such trauma and exploring ways to help. A topical collection currently in print focuses on “Refugee Women and Perinatal Mental Health.” We strongly encourage you to submit more articles on topics related to trauma, violence against women in war zones, and the resulting mental health consequences. I sincerely hope the work published in our journal will contribute to improving the mental health of women worldwide.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all authors, Section Editors, members of the Editorial Board, and reviewers for their invaluable efforts during these difficult times.
