Dear Friends:

Join us for our 18th Annual Porto Charities Golf Tournament on Friday, October 2nd at Twin Lakes Golf Course in Clifton, VA. Whether you are a seventeen-year veteran or new to the Porto family, you are sure to have a good time supporting this worthy cause. All proceeds from the tournament will provide training and scholarships for educators serving students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Diocese of Arlington.

This year, we are elevating the entire experience to offer an unmatched, all-inclusive day on the course. Your registration covers absolutely everything:

  • Continental breakfast, drinks, and a premium seafood lunch by Ford's Fish Shack.
  • ALL golf expenses.
  • Multiple chances to win contest and raffle prizes from Golf Galaxy and Topgolf.
  • Silent Auction with great gifts and experiences.
  • Bonus: A swag bag and a tournament T-shirt!

We are also thrilled to bring back our Hole-in-One Contest, featuring top-shelf prizes on every single par 3, highlighted by the chance to drive home a brand-new Ford Bronco, courtesy of Ted Britt Ford.

Not a golfer? Not a problem! Join in the action by signing up as a sponsor to show your support for Porto Charities and our special kids. We have sponsorships ranging from $1,500 to our premier Avengers sponsorship for $10,000. We will design a sponsorship package that suits your needs and ensure you have a great day on the links.

Because space is limited to 30 foursomes, we strongly encourage you to rally your crew and sign up early as a foursome or an individual at www.portocharities.org/2026golf. Flyers, additional details, and links are listed below.

So come on, join in the fun and Be A Hero for these special kids. I'll see you out there!

Board Member Spotlight

Tony Stafford

Meet Tony Stafford! In addition to serving as Vice President on the Board of Directors of Porto Charities, Tony is the founder, owner, and award-winning head chef of Ford’s Fish Shack — a popular New England-style seafood restaurant with four locations in Northern Virginia, a food truck, and a catering service. Tony holds a degree in culinary arts and hotel restaurant management and has over 25 years of restaurant industry experience.

Tony’s culinary talents and restaurant success have led to recognition, including Loudoun County's Top Entrepreneur of the Year, the Jim Wordsworth Restaurateur of the Year Award, and Northern Virginia Magazine naming Ford’s Fish Shack the “Best Seafood Restaurant” for multiple years running.

Beyond his culinary talent, Tony is known for his immense heart. His journey with Porto Charities began when his son attended the Options Program at Paul VI Catholic High School. Since then, Tony has generously catered our annual golf tournaments, conferences, and Christmas parties with incredible meals.

As a business owner and Loudoun County resident, Tony is committed to serving the community by providing valuable employment opportunities and through the Ford’s Fish Shack Heritage of Giving Back charity program. He actively mentors local students through youth culinary programs and created a unique initiative donating $0.50 to Porto Charities from every dessert sold at his restaurants. This program supports educators pursuing advanced special education in the Diocese of Arlington.
