Li-Cycle Kicks Off Quality & Safety Recognition Program

The Li-Cycle project team is proud to announce they officially kicked off a Quality & Safety recognition program on site. Each month an individual who exemplifies Safety and Quality will be selected in each category. Their pictures will be displayed for the entire month on two of their 4’x8’ polymetal billboards they had created for this program. They will also receive prizes and a certificate of recognition. Congratulations to the first month’s winners: John Hannah (Quality) and Tim Alderson (Safety). Great job to this team for taking the initiative to create a program recognizing the importance around Quality and Safety.

Project Highlights

NEW: Ohio State University (OSU)

Client: Engie Buckeye Operations LLC

Location: Columbus, OH – Ohio State Campus

Project Scope: EPCM Contract to complete EPC and commissioning of 2x2x1 combined cycle power plant producing 100MW of electrical capacity and 3,000 tons of steam for campus consumption. Facility approximately 30% complete at start.

Timeline: Commercial Operation by 9/29/22; Final Acceptance by 2/23/24

NEW: Lakeland

Client: City of Lakeland, on behalf of its municipal utility Lakeland Electric

Location: Lakeland, Florida

Project Scope: Casey Industrial is completing underground Utilities, concrete pilings and structural foundations to support 6 ea. 22 MW MAN RICE Engines

Timeline: 5 Months, anticipated completion January 31, 2023

COMPLETE: Foothills RNG

Congratulations to the entire Foothills RNG team on the completion of their project!

Client: Energyneering Solutions, Inc (ESI)

Location: Lenoir, NC

Project Scope: Construction of a 3,000 SCFM Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility utilizing an existing landfill gas (LFG) source from the local Republic Services Upper Piedmont municipal landfill. Scope includes full general contractor role for installation of Civil undergrounds through above ground project build outs. Primary equipment installed includes membrane skids, compressor skids, media filter skids, product flare, and compressed gas tanker truck fill stations. Balance of Plant (BOP) construction being installed to ASME B31.3 and includes medium voltage installations from 13.8kV to end users.

Timeline: Started project in July of 2021 and demobilized November of 2022.

CEI University Launch Reminders

MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure (CE&I) has officially launched CEI University, our group-wide learning management system (LMS)!

To assist with this transition, please help in completing a few quick items:

Review and use the launch instructions. This includes a URL to the CE&I University platform and a step-by-step description of how to log in to CE&I University.
Update your LMS bookmark. The new link is: http://university.cei.mastec.com
Log in to the system and change your password. Directions can be found in the Quick Start Guide.
Complete a short training about the new system for a chance to WIN!

Under the “My Learning” tab, you will find the course CE&I University: Overview for Learners. Everyone who completes the training within 30 days will be entered in a drawing for prizes!

REMINDER: Pay Day November 25

The Thanksgiving holiday is this week and, as a result, we will have a few impacts to our payroll and timecard processes. Please note the following:

All MasTec Industrial Offices closed November 24 & 25
Pay day this week will take place on Friday, November 25.
Timecards: Week ending November 26, please note the following:
Enter ONLY hours worked or any PTO for the week
If you did work the holiday, please type “Worked Holiday” in the notes
8 hours of holiday pay for November 24 and 8 hours of holiday pay for November 25 will automatically be added AFTER you submit your timecard so take note of the total at the bottom of the timecard as it should only indicate your total hours worked for the week.
