NPR to open new bureau in Ukraine
Adding to its bureaus reporting news from around the world, NPR has announced it will establish a base in Kyiv, Ukraine. Joanna Kakissis will be bureau chief, having already done extensive reporting from the region just prior to and during the Russian attack. She's a familiar voice to listeners; she started reporting for NPR in 2011 from Athens, Greece and other points throughout Europe. Stay tuned for more on-the-ground reporting about -- and from -- Kyiv.

Year-end campaign begins on Giving Tuesday
The lingering effects of the pandemic, inflation and supply chain slowdowns continue to significantly impact food security of Oklahomans. The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, a nonprofit that distributes food to those in need, has seen a 50 percent increase in requests for help during peak times in 2022.

Our year-end fundraising campaign partners with residential builders Home Creations to provide funds for public radio, and to help address the needs of those at risk of going hungry. From Nov. 29 through Dec. 31, Home Creations is again offering extra funds to KGOU and the food bank. Find out more about this partnership and follow our progress:
