New: Student Schedules Available Tomorrow
First semester schedules will be available beginning at 9am on Tuesday, August 1st. Students and parents may view student semester 1 schedules at that time in PowerSchool. Students can make schedule changes during the following times:

Class Schedule Changes (Student Services Office):
Tuesday, August 8 – 9:00am-2:00pm
Wednesday, August 9 – 9:00am-2:00pm
Thursday, August 10 – 9:00am-2:00pm

For the best chances of fulfilling a schedule change, it is recommended that students complete requests by August 10.  
*School counselors will try to accommodate requests. Finalization of a course change request depends on class size and/or course. Please note that semester 2 schedules will be complete in December.

Here is the Master Schedule showing which classes are offered during each block. Full classes are indicated in red. Please make sure any changes you would like to make are possible before requesting.

Schedule Change Deadline
  • A course may be added or dropped within the first four school days of the semester. 
  • A course level may be changed within the first four school days of the semester. 
  • After four school days a course or level change must be initiated by the instructor with the consent of the parent/guardian.

Please understand that students will not be able to attend the first day of classes unless PowerSchool Registration is complete, all tuition from last year is paid in full, a signed tuition contract has been returned for the 2023-2024 school year, and your student has paid all fines due from the 2022-2023 school year.
Reminder: 2023-24 PowerSchool Registration DUE TODAY (7/31)
Xavier PowerSchool Registration opened in January for 2023-24 Xavier families, and the deadline to complete is July 31st. Thank you to those who have completed the process early! We still have 60 families that have not completed this. If you have not already done so, please go to PowerSchool (also accessible through the Parent Portal at www.XavierSaints.org/Parent), and use your parent login and password to register your student(s). Directions for completing the process/checking to see if you have previously completed the process can be found HERE. This important registration process must be completed before students will receive a code for parking and before they will be permitted to pick-up their iPads for the fall semester. Please contact meg.hansen@xaviersaints.org should questions arise.

Reminder: 2023 Boys Golf Tryouts - Tomorrow (8/1) is the Deadline to Register
QUALIFYING/TRYOUTS for the 2023-24 golf season will be held on the following dates and times at Wildcat Golf Course (Shellsburg, IA)

  • Round 1 - 18 holes - Monday, August 7, 7:45 AM - Wildcat Golf Course (Shellsburg, IA)
  • Round 2 - 9 holes - Tuesday, August 8, 3:00 PM - Wildcat Golf Course (Shellsburg, IA)

You must be registered at the link below in advance by August 1st, 2023 

REMINDER - Register for tryouts by August 1 using the link under the "Qualifying/Tryouts" section below. We need to give Wildcat a final number of golfers for both days.

REMINDER for parents to also register students on BOUND. Once registered, you should upload your completed physical forms and concussion forms prior to August 7.Paper forms are no longer accepted. Please register both in BOUND and the registration link above.
Reminder: Xavier Swimmers Registration
If your student is interested in participating in swimming by the way of co-oping with Kennedy, Washington, or Jefferson, parents must register each student via Bound on that schools Bound Registration Page.

Swimmer parents must upload a Physical, Concussion and Permission/Release Form via the Cedar Rapids School’s Bound page. Paper forms will not be accepted.

Reminder: Important Information from the Business Office
This is a reminder that at this time all families (with the exception of those waiting on the second round of STO) should have signed their tuition contract for the 2023/24 school year. If you have taken care of this thank you for doing so. 

If you selected the 10 EFT payments make sure you fill out the form completely (every box) and hit the submit button. All EFT payments must be set up by July 28th to make the August 10th first payment. 

All tuition contracts must be signed before being permitted to pick up iPads for the fall semester.

For all families that have completed the tuition contract, billing has been posted to each account.
 
 
If you are waiting on the second round STO, we are hoping to have new contracts out to those receiving funds by the end of this week. At that time you will be notified that a new contract is ready to be signed.
REMINDER ACTION ITEM for Families Receiving an ESA
If your student is receiving an ESA this year and you have not already done so, the next step in the Students First ESA program is to indicate Xavier as the school your student plans to attend for the 2023-24 school year.

Please log in to your Odyssey Portal to complete this step NOW! 

The deadline to complete is Thursday, August 10th.
Reminder: New for 2023-2024 - All Students Participating in XHS Activities Must Be Registered on Bound
If your student is interested in participating in any extracurricular activities (FINE ARTS, ATHLETICS OR CLUBS), parents must register each student via Bound.

ALL STUDENTS planning to participate in activities must be registered on Bound. This includes fine arts, athletics and clubs.

If your student is considering participating in athletics or cheer, parents must also upload a Physical, Concussion and Permission/Release Form via Bound. These forms will now be uploaded through this process – paper forms will not be accepted in the XHS Activities Office moving forward. You will not need to print a form elsewhere.

Please do NOT upload immunization records - these must be turned in to the school nurse either via hard copy or emailed to kris.naeve@xaviersaints.org

If you can not locate a current physical (and it’s currently on file with Xavier HS), please contact the XHS Activities Office via email at pam.barta@xaviersaints.org.

If your student is planning on (or interested in) participating in multiple activities, please register for each activity. The following forms will be uploaded/signed electronically via Bound:
  • Physical Form (Required for Athletics and Cheer)
  • Heads Up Concussion Form (Required for Athletics and Cheer)
  • Parent or Guardian Permission and Release Form
