TIP 1 - INCREASE YOUR AI VISIBILITY
The latest advice from LinkedIn regarding AI visibility suggests:
- Start each post with a keyword-rich opening line
- Try providing a clear question & direct answer so AI systems can easily extract and cite it
-
Educate your network with 200-300 words; far more impactful than any promotion
- Publish consistently at least 2-3x weekly
- NEW: Engagement in the first 24 hrs (formerly believed to be within 1st hr) will influence the post distribution
-
Be thoughtful with your comments on posts: adding value to the conversation will always be favored by the LI algorithm and AI
TIP 2 - LINKEDIN WANTS YOU TO CONTACT THE RECRUITER
This is a tip we've always advocated to our clients in transition, and now LI is making it even easier to do. You may see this “Stand out by sending a personal message to the recruiter at…” populated after you view a job. Don't be bashful! Put some thought into your brief message to add value to your application.
TIP 3 - NEED SOME POST CONTENT?
It's ok to post about upcoming events you plan to attend - especially when they are relevant to your work, company, or goals. Use the guidance from Tip 1 and check your calendar. You likely have some ready-made posts.
TIP 4 - NETWORK LIKE A PRO
If the idea of networking makes your hands sweaty or your heart race, order my new book, 'Networking from the Ground Up', from Amazon. Professionals of any age will find impactful tips within. This is a wonderful addition to your summer reading!
"This book strikes the perfect balance between personal stories and practical
lessons, making it both an engaging read and a helpful guide." GW
