Prayer List

During these days filled with much uncertainty, fear, and frustration, may these words from Philippians 4:6-7 guide us:

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

This week we pray for:

Doug Iams
Prayers of wisdom and clarity for Dorothy and Bob Iams' son, Doug, as he navigates upcoming life changes.

Sue-min Lee
Prayers for Sue-min Lee as she mourns the loss of a classmate and friend of 56 years, and also for Wanda's family.

Caitlyn, Enikő's former housemate
Prayers for Caitlyn, age 9, as she faces knee surgery on July 30. Prayers of comfort and strength for her and her family in their love and care for her.

Ralph Ealy, friend of the Slaters
Dear friend of Caryl and Stan Slater, Ralph Ealy, passed away two weeks ago. Prayers for his wife and children, as well as for the Slaters as they mourn his loss.

Becca, Candy Relle's Friend's Daughter-in-law
Becca had surgery last week and had all cancerous growth from her colon removed. There was no cancer found in her lymphnodes and her prognosis is positive. Prayers as she continues to undergo treatment.

Beth Coetzee
Prayers of gratitude and thanksgiving for having finished treatment.

Cards may be sent to Beth Coetzee, 1820 W. Mulberry, San Antonio, TX 78201.

Continued prayers for all of those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who lost loved ones; those among us who cannot visit loved ones in nursing homes or hospitals; those who lost jobs; those whose livelihoods and safety is endangered, especially our neighbors experiencing homelessness here in Wooster.

Prayers for those in Mexico and South Texas who were impacted by a recent hurricane, especially those in detention centers at our border.

Prayers for the farmers in our region who are struggling with the current drought.

Prayer Request and Privacy Laws

Please note, that because of government privacy laws, hospitals and care centers no longer are allowed to notify churches that a person has been admitted (even if the person lists their home church at admission). The only way that the church staff will know if someone is hospitalized is if a family member or friend lets us know. We'd rather get 20 calls about the same person than none! Thanks for your help in making Westminster a caring community. Contact the Westminster Office by phone 330-263-2398 or email to notify the church if you or someone you know is hospitalized or otherwise in need of our prayers!
