The Bluest of Blues: A Close-up View at the Water’s Edge by JoEl Levy LoGiudice is a Square Foot Fiber Art Pin Up Show 2023 winning entry. The piece is handwoven tapestry with embroidery and beadwork that incorporates cotton warp, wool weft, raw silk, embroidery thread, and beads. JoEl says, "Recently my work has become more introspective and intimate. My small tapestry incorporates a variety of wool yarns, embroidery threads, and beads. I transform these materials to invoke a sense of place as I capture a moment in time and transport myself to happy times at the beach."

The 2024 Square Foot Fiber Art Pin Up Show will be on display from 5/7 through 6/29 at the SEFAA Center. Don't miss it!

If you're not familiar with the project, we collect handmade blankets for people and beds for pets to donate to Mercy Care and Lifeline Animal Shelter.
