Join us for the 39th Annual Essex ClamFest and Arts & Crafts Festival, from 11 am to 4 pm in Shepard Memorial Park in Essex. Come taste Cape Ann’s finest chowders from Noon to 1 pm and vote for your favorite! (Tasting only while supplies last!) Although the highlight of the day is the Chowder Tasting Competition, there is also a great variety of activities, including arts and crafts vendors, live entertainment and plenty of food vendors on-site! $25K Game Tickets Available for Purchase
The $25K Game tickets are in the house and ready for sale! There are 12 chances to win with a total of $25,000 being given away. Cost is $100 per ticket, with a limit of 500 tickets being sold.
The event will feature a Costume Contest again this year and will be live-streamed by Streamography for those unable to attend.

Coastal Lecture: Salt Marsh Restoration and Coastal Resilience at The Trustees

Sea level rise threatens the viability of coastal habitats in Massachusetts and throughout the region. Projections indicate that many salt marshes will lose much of their high marsh habitat or worse, possibly convert to open water in the coming decades. In this presentation, Trustees Coastal Project Manager Alejandra Narváez, will discuss how restoration efforts can help improve the resilience of this critical habitat. Alejandra will discuss results from completed restoration work and share details on The Trustees’ ongoing salt marsh restoration efforts in the Great Marsh, along with further resilience work underway in other areas of the state. Ode to Toad presents Amy Rose, Principal of Rockport Middle/High School

Amy will share her philosophy of leadership and community, and discuss her two books, Lead with Purpose. Lead with Love. and The Fear-Inspired Leader. She will talk about how to set encouraging examples, and reveal why cultivating true connection to the ones you serve produces the best outcomes. By sharing her own stories, she illuminates how to build strong relationships with people based on the idea that great leadership is born from a "them" (not a "you") mentality. After the discussion, Amy's books will be available for sale (and she'll sign them for attendees, too).
