Boardwalk #35A Closed For Replacement/ Extension

Earlier this week, Sea Pines CSA contractors began replacement and construction work on CSA beach boardwalk #35A. This boardwalk has exceeded its useful life and must be replaced. During this work, the boardwalk will also be extended by 60 feet over the dune to aid in the protection and allow the dune to continue to build. The beach boardwalk access will remain closed to all pedestrian traffic and is expected to reopen by the middle of next week.

The biannual flower change out of Sea Pines CSA maintained landscape beds will begin the week of April 26th, weather permitting.

Flowers that have been removed from the beds will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, to Sea Pines Property Owners. Flowers will be placed at Trolley Lot #2, located off of Greenwood Drive and can be picked up beginning late Monday- early Tuesday, the week of April 26th. Earlier this week, a cormorant was found in the water at access 22 in distress. Two college students were able to wrap the bird gently and carry it to the dunes. Sea Pines CSA was contacted and our Wildlife Officer responded within 10 minutes to assist.
