END OF YEAR CLASSROOM CELEBRATIONS

For Family Building Blocks, August marks the end of our year. Our classrooms close briefly while teachers and staff reset to welcome new children and families. Thank you to our teams in Salem, Independence, Woodburn, and Stayton for providing end of year celebrations! The celebrations include the children's wider communities - parents, guardians, classroom volunteers, as well as staff.

Many of the children will be moving on to Head Start or Kindergarten programs with a stronger foundation because of their partnership with Family Building Blocks. The end of year classroom celebration is more than just a party. It is a meaningful reflection on the whole family - honoring their vulnerability, hard work, and growth as they move forward in their parenting journey!

Thank you to our incredible teachers and staff, families, and classroom volunteers who make Family Building Blocks so special. We love the chance to celebrate our community!

ALMUERZO DE ESPERANZA -

THE LUNCHEON OF HOPE

THERE IS STILL TIME TO RSVP! Join us our first-ever Almuerzo de Esperanza - the Luncheon of Hope - in Woodburn, happening Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Doors will open at 11:30, a buffet lunch will be served, and the program will begin at noon.

This free community event will shine a light on the power of prevention and the incredible return on investment that Family Building Blocks' high-quality early childhood programs provide. For the first time in this area, over 200 local community members will gather to share a complimentary meal and hear uplifting family success stories and learn how our community is helping "Keep Children Safe and Families Together."

We are thrilled to bring this meaningful event to Woodburn and hope you'll join us for an inspiring afternoon!

DREAM BUILDERS LUNCHEON 2025

On Wednesday, October 22, we are expecting nearly 700 community leaders to attend our Dream Builders Luncheon at the Salem Convention Center, from Noon-1:00pm. This event is free and a complimentary lunch is provided. RSVP is required.

We would love for you to join us and invite your colleagues and friends. We look forward to sharing about our mission, focused on meeting acute needs and influencing generational change, and inviting guests to ask, "What if every child in our community had what it takes to thrive?"

As the Relief Nursery serving Marion and Polk counties, we partner with parents with young children to break the intergenerational cycle of child abuse and neglect. Historically, 99% of the children served in FBB’s prevention programs are able to live safely with their parents, avoiding foster care and the trauma caused by abuse and neglect. Learn more about the impact Family Building Blocks is making with children and families in our community!
