Coordinators' Corner

Greetings IB Families!

We are thankful to have January in the rearview mirror! Hopefully the winter weather and snow days are behind us, and spring will be arriving soon. Nevertheless, the dreaded 3rd Quarter slump is real, and it's here for many of our students. We encourage all of our students to push on through "the slump" and finish the quarter strong.

February through April is a busy time for our IB juniors and seniors as they begin and/or finalize important assessment pieces, such as Internal Assessments and Individual Orals. We encourage students to reach out for help and advice from teachers, coordinators, and counsellors if they are feeling overwhelmed. We're always here for you!

Attention All Juniors in IB English!

IB ENGLISH III H Individual Orals will take place March 22 - 24 and 29 - 31. The individual oral is supported by an extract from work originally written in English and one from a work studied in translation. Students offer a response to the prompt "Examine the ways in which the global issue of your choice is presented through the content and form of two of the works that you have studied."

Ask Mrs. Pitts if you have further questions!

Attention Seniors: An Important Message About Transcripts!

If you submitted a transcript request first semester, we DO NOT automatically send an updated transcript after second semester grades post. Students need to submit another transcript request after second semester transcripts have processed at the district level. This usually happens mid to late January. Transcripts will then additionally show your semester grades, cumulative GPAs, and class rank.

For questions regarding transcripts please contact our registrar,
