Dr. Seth Kareus
Movement Disorder Specialist at St Mary’s Medical Center
Seth Kareus, MD, is originally from Phoenix, Arizona. He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry followed by his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. He then completed his neurology residency at the University of Utah. Subsequently he completed a two-year Movement Disorders Fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University.
As a movement disorders specialist, Dr. Kareus is dedicated to taking care of Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders. He is passionate about deep brain stimulation surgery and advanced treatment of movement disorders. When he is not at work, Dr. Kareus enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter as well as hiking, mountain biking and whitewater rafting.

Non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, including dementia, orthostasis, pain, and mood changes, are common and negatively affect quality of life.
Hallucinations and delusions are also common non-motor symptoms, affecting up to 50% of people with Parkinson’s disease.

In this lecture, Dr. Samantha Holden, University of Colorado Hospital, will discuss the common types of symptoms people with Parkinson’s can experience, risk factors for their development, and methods for management.
Samantha Holden, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center. She currently practices in the Memory Disorders Clinic at University of Colorado Hospital.

Join us for the 22nd Annual Golf Classic to benefit the Parkinson Association of the Rockies (PAR) and the Colorado Parkinson’s community. PAR provides an abundance of services to the community, including over 63 weekly exercise classes, a variety of educational seminars and 52 monthly support groups.
