Walk-a-Thon T-shirt Design Due Friday!

Walk-a-Thon T-shirt Design Contest Now Open THROUGH THIS FRIDAY

Entries to Walk-a-Thon T-shirt design contest is now due Friday! (check out contest rules and examples of previous t-shirt design winners)

Theme: CHARGERS GO THE EXTRA MILE

The winning design will be featured on the 2025 Cherry Chase Walk-a-thon t-shirt, which ALL students will get. The winning artist leads the first lap of the Walk-a-Thon and chooses their own color for their t-shirt.

Submission deadline: January 17th, 2025.

Contest winner will be announced on January 31st, 2025.

Next PTA Meeting - Wed Jan 15 online

Our next general association meeting will be on Wed Jan 15, 7pm, online. All adults are invited to join! The agenda includes the election of the nominating committee, a report from the principal and teacher rep, review of the financials and more.

Family STEAM Night: An Evening of Fun & Discovery! on Jan 24

Join us for an evening of exploration, investigation, and learning, full of fun hands-on activities, presentations, and exhibits for the whole family in the fields of Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts & Math. This is a free event. Open to all ages, but you must be registered or volunteer to attend. Bring a bag to take creations home with you. 

Registration required to attend; Please Register Here by January 17

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: This event is only possible if we have enough volunteers to help run the booths. Please consider taking turns working a booth & walking around with kids to enjoy the event (trade off with your partner or friend).

Each attending family must provide one volunteer for one shift to be admitted to the event after registration closes.

Adult family members are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children during the event.

Register for Lunar New Year Celebration 2025

The 9th annual Lunar New Year Celebration will be held in the Cherry Chase Multi on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5:00pm to 8:30pm.

Cherry Chase PTA invites you to an amazing evening filled with wonderful performances, delicious food, and fun activities! Please mark your calendar and also register for the event via the link HERE ASAP. We will close the registration once it reaches Multi capacity. You can also pre-order food there.

Help Bring Arts Education Back to Cherry Chase!

Cherry Chase PTA used to run a hands-on arts in-class enrichment program called FAME. We are looking for a couple more team members to review and revamp it. If you are interested in bringing more arts education to our students, please fill out this form by Jan 31.

Lend a Hand: School Garden Projects Need You!

The school garden seeks helpers for specific tasks to be scheduled at your convenience: Choose 1. inventory our aging seed collection; 2. identify a few good fruit trees for us to purchase and plant by early spring; or 3. help us install guide wires to support a mature kiwi between existing posts. Garden has funds, we just need human know how. Please contact Michelle at garden@cherrychasepta.org.

Walk-a-Thon & Auction - Fri Apr 4, 9am-12pm

Save the date for this year's Walk-a-Thon & Auction! This year the event will be held during the school day, 9am - 12pm, on Friday April 4th. Please mark your calendars and take the morning off work to join us!

Walk-a-Thon Steering Commitee Looking for Volunteers!

Planning for Cherry Chase’s biggest school fundraiser and community event of the year is underway and the Walk-a-Thon steering committee needs your help! We are still looking for:

Auction chair - Run the auction. Many team members are already ready to help. 

Finance chair - Track income and expenses.

Smaller roles are also available. Email watandauction@cherrychasepta.org to volunteer.

Explore the Stars: Planetarium Coming to Campus This Week!

This week a planetarium will be coming to campus! Classes will be visiting the portable sky dome planetarium on Thursday to take a tour of our solar system. Cherry Chase PTA is funding this assembly thanks to your generous support.
