Beginning Knitting with Danielle
I know a lot of you have been waiting for this class -- a SATURDAY Beginning Knitting class!! This is your chance! If you've never knit before but you've been wanting to learn, this is a class to teach brand new knitters everything you need to know to begin your knitting journey! You'll learn cast on to bind off, knits and purls, increases and decreases, and lots of fun tips and tricks in a fun environment.
This is a FOUR SESSION class, so you'll have plenty of time to learn all the basics and get plenty of help and practice

Doodle With Dana -- Cup Cozy
Skill building classes are Dana's favorite, so if you're ready for a fun level up, this is a class you'll love. The Doodle Method is a great introduction to stranded knitting and fair isle techniques, and it allows you to use your own creativity to turn your vision into knitting! If you've conquered your knits and purls and know how to knit in the round, this is the perfect class to dip your toe into stranded knitting! We'll create a quick cup cozy (or two, depending on your ambition!) as an intro to the Doodle techniques!

| | Doodle with Dana Class -- Cup Cozy | The Doodle concept is an amazing way to learn and love stranded knitting! This class will teach you the ins and outs of basic stranded knitting. You'll learn to work two or three colors in one row, to read a colorwork chart, and how to operate within the Doodle Knitting framework -- a fantastic way to design your own stranded knits and use your creativity to make exactly what you want. This class will use a cup cozy pattern to learn the basics of stranded knitting and the Doodle framework. Students will need the Cup Cozy pattern from Pacific Knit Co (either downloaded or in print at Chattanooga Yarn Co) and the yarn of your choice in Fingering, Sport, DK, or Worsted Weight. All yarn must be purchased at Chattanooga Yarn co. Students will also need to purchase the Doodle Knitting Directory, a Doodle Deck, or Download the Doodle Chart of their choice. Step by Step Cardigan Class with Hattie
[This class is being offered well in advance of class date because we believe it will be very popular]
You've probably seen the Step by Step Cardigan on Ravelry -- It's ALWAYS in the "Hot Right Now" section! It's so popular because it's a cardigan that helps so many people succeed with something that can seem intimidating -- knitting your first sweater! Our sweater construction guru, Hattie, is leading this class with INTENTION. She intends that every person who takes it will successfully complete their first sweater! It's a classic, top-down raglan that will be a fabulous wardrobe basic. You'll want to grab this cozy cardi every day!
So if you can knit and purl and you know your basic increases and decreases, this class will build your skills step by step so that you'll walk away with your own handmade cardigan!

You may only reserve your space today by calling the shop to pay during business hours, or by coming into the shop and paying in person, or paying online. We expect that classes will fill quickly. Please make sure you can attend all class sessions, as make-up sessions are at the discretion of the instructor. We reserve the right to cancel any class with less than 3 registrants, but your class fee can be used for a future session if your class is cancelled. Class credits are good for 6 months. All classes, unless otherwise noted, do not come with materials and require for yarn to be purchased at Chattanooga Yarn Co. No Children, guests, or pets are allowed in classes.
