Children's Chapel
Children’s Chapel is held during the Sunday 10:30 a.m. service each week, and welcomes children, ages 4 through 5th grade. Children should remain in the sanctuary until the processional hymn and watch for the director of Children's Ministries to walk down the center aisle. At that time children may join her and walk to the Children's Chapel located on the cloister. Children’s Chapel is led by two Safeguard-trained adults. At the Peace, children will be brought back to their families in time for Holy Communion.

Friday, Sept. 5
Noon - Lower Eaton Hall
Daisy Thorne Gilbert and the legendary Lucas Terrace
Mrs. Joe Gilbert (1877-1961) led such a comparatively tranquil life in Austin that one could never imagine the harrowing experience and narrow escape that she endured just prior to her 1900 marriage!
Galveston native Richard Eisenhour knows all about Mrs. Gilbert's thrilling tale and will present it at Trinity Episcopal Church’s September 5, 2025 Lunch and Learn lecture.
----
Richard Eisenhour credits his historian mother Virginia's influence for pointing his way to a career in museums and historic preservation. He graduated from Ball High School (1983) and subsequently received his BA in American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and an MA in Museum Studies from the George Washington Washington University, Washington DC. For more than 20 years, he worked as an assistant to the Curator of the Texas Capitol. And for nearly 50 years has collected and studied antique picture postcards with a special focus on PRE-1900 Texas tourist postcards. He currently calls Austin, Texas home.
