Founder & Podcast Host at Next Level Minds
B.S., Business Management, Emphasis in Entrepreneurship, 2018
What role do you play in the entrepreneurial ecosystem?
Outside of my corporate sales job, I started my own entrepreneurial podcast, Next Level Minds, where I interview founders, business owners, and successful people from all walks of life. We discuss their story of how they got from point A to point B in their lives and careers. I have been doing this for 7+ years and have listeners in over 52 different countries! Under the Next Level Minds brand, I also help young professionals navigate from college to the workforce through individual-based personal development coaching.
What are some of your best memories of your time at Clemson?
Meeting my now wife during my sophomore year, joining a fraternity, and experiencing college football games during the National Championship years are some of my favorite memories of Clemson. My favorite football game was the Clemson vs Notre Dame game back in 2015—watching this game in the stadium in the middle of a hurricane was an electric experience.
What were the key inflection points in your career after you left Clemson?
I would say making my first six figures in 2021 (three years into my career) was a big moment for me and my career momentum. I continued to increase my income while keeping my expenses lean and investing the difference. Five to ten years of financial sacrifices on top of a healthy income can put you significantly ahead in life.
What are your personal and professional dreams?
Personally, I'd love to own a waterfront home in Charleston, SC (my hometown) within the next 10 years. I love being out on the water and love a nice view. My dream house is my background on my computer.
Professionally, I'd like to be able to take the Next Level Minds brand full time by hosting the podcast, developing/coaching others, hosting live events and retreats, and helping people reach a next level in the areas that matter most in life.
What would you recommend students do to maximize their remaining time at Clemson?
Get involved as much as you can in social clubs/activities, business clubs, non-profits, etc… Not only will you enjoy your time the most by doing this, but I believe that your network is your net worth. Meet as many people as you can! I still keep up with people that I met at Clemson 10 years ago, and those relationships will go a long way.
What else should we know about you?
I live by two quotes—
1.“Your success will only be as big as your belief system.”
From The Magic of Thinking Big
2. “Discipline builds the bridge to everything you want in life.”
