"Unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of human change. Do not underestimate a moment of your kindness. It has the power to change lives in ways you may never know."
-Bob Kerrey

LOOKING BACK. KHK IN THE COMMUNITY.
This past month Kids Helping Kids hosted our very first talent show in partnership with the Fairfield County Bar Foundation. Despite navigating virtual events for the very first time, Fairfield County Has Talent was a HUGE success! Thank you to all who attended, our incredible talent, our amazing partner organization and our generous sponsors! Proceeds from this event have helped us build the new "KHK Project Fund". Running a project can be costly and the imaginations of our ambassadors have no bounds! FCBF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports organizations dedicated to improving access to justice for those in the community who have been impacted by poverty, abuse, and discrimination. The success of this event has helped support their valiant efforts in our community as well. Thank you again to all those who supported Fairfield County Has Talent!

KHK SPOTLIGHT. KIDS MAKING AN IMPACT.
KHK is proud to recognize Youth Advisory Council member, Ellie, for her exceptional dedication to service. Ellie has been apart of the KHK family for eight years and has been an essential part of our organization's growth. Her favorite project is the Pumpkin Bread Bake because the kids get to be apart of almost every step of the process, from packaging the individual loaves of bread to selling it around Fairfield County. Through her involvement with the Pumpkin Bread Bake, Youth Advisory Council and many other projects, Ellie has grown tremendously as a leader.
"Being with Kids Helping Kids has given me the opportunity to grow as a person and learn very valuable skills I will be able to use in the future. One of the things that I am most grateful to Kids Helping Kids for is my public speaking. Being a part of Kids Helping Kids I have been able to expand my public speaking ability, and I am now much more confident in front of crowds."
With her ever-growing confidence in herself and commitment to KHK's mission, Ellie has co-founded the KHK Club at Westhill High School. She has used her platform and love for the organization to help educate others on how they too can give back to their community. Ellie works alongside her co-founder Cayla and about 16 other students weekly to host the KHK Club. This club has supported our organization with project ideas, fundraising events, marketing efforts and so much more! Ellie is in her senior year of high school and will be graduating in the spring of 2021. We will miss her dearly but look forward to watching the rest of her journey unfold!
