PICKLEBALL KINGDOM

NOW OPEN IN POULSBO, WA

Who doesn't love Pickleball !!!!

The sport was founded on Bainbridge Island in the summer of 1965. It was created by Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum as a game for their families. They combined elements of badminton, table tennis, and wiffle ball.

The sport is taking the world by storm, but it's roots are steadfast in Kitsap County.

Pickleball Kingdom, a franchise, is the world’s largest indoor pickleball entity, and a couple of months ago it held its grand opening in Poulsbo, providing community members with a year round facility to enjoy the sport.

The 31,500 square-foot facility, is located at the former Office Max and Big 5 buildings at College Marketplace, and offers 12 climate-controlled indoor courts, lounge areas and training programs. The club also features professional coaching and clinics, catering to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned players; youth programs; leagues and tournaments; and community and corporate events.

The Poulsbo location is the 12th to open in the franchise and it's the first in WA state.
