Upcoming Webinar
Despite civil society organizations being at the forefront of fighting the complex problems of our world, most of them suffer from financial instability. This is partly due to project-restricted funding that keeps CSO's and nonprofits in a "starvation cycle." There are real missing costs arising from the nonprofit starvation cycle. These come in the form of systemic under-resourcing of core organizational functions.

This underinvestment will persist until funders recognize the importance of fully covering their partners' indirect costs. Research done by Humentum expands on these “starvation cycles” and offers recommendations for funders to break them. What comes after that research?

In this webinar organized by EDGE Funders and Ariadne, we invite Katie Skartvedt from Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, Moulaye Camara from Humentum and Nasim Losai & Ayubu Masaki from The Foundation for Civil Society, to delve into a case study of funders and CSO’s implementing research on indirect cost coverage to work together towards financial resilience.

Join us to hear about some of the successes and challenges on the journey towards financial resilience from the perspective of researchers, CSO’s and funders.
We encourage you to download and look through the “Breaking the Starvation Cycle” report (or watch the video!), which will guide our conversation, a brief overview will be offered.
