Nonprofit Finance Fund Upcoming Workshop
Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) has an upcoming in-person workshop for nonprofit leaders local to New York who are in the early stages of considering a real estate project.
This two-hour workshop is free for attendees and will take place this Fall on Tuesday October 24th and/or Thursday October 26th.
This session is intended to provide a basic introduction to nonprofit leaders who are new to real estate. NFF will level-set around the historical and current context for real estate in New York, review basic terms and processes of real estate development, and share how to conduct an early-stage assessment of your organization’s readiness for launching a project. Much of the session will be dedicated to sharing real stories and discussing the questions, challenges, and opportunities that have arisen in attendee's own efforts around this topic.
The goals of this workshop are to:
- Discuss the role real estate can play in advancing your organization's work
- Understand core concepts and terms related to real estate projects
- Learn an approach to assessing your organization's preparedness for real estate, particularly from a financial lens
- Access a set of tools and resources to support your organization’s interest and work in real estate
- Build understanding in community with your peers
