Tax Season is Here!

Taxes 2026 text with alarm clock on wooden background

The IRS has announced that Monday, January 26 will be the start of the 2026 tax filing season. Your Tax Organizers have been recently mailed out or will be emailed via SafeSend (noreply@safesendreturns.com). You can fill out the Questionnaire and Organizer online and upload documents per the GATHER request (click HERE for a video of the process).

What's new this year?

Besides all the changes with the OBBB, the IRS is phasing out paper checks both for tax refunds and for tax payments. We strongly encourage you to sign up for automatic direct deposit and/or direct debit by providing your Tax Manager with your bank account information (securely please, using the SafeSend link in their Outlook signature).

If you have not yet set up a Client Portal through SafeSend, please do so now using the portal link in your Tax Manager's Outlook signature. For first time access, you will need to click "Sign Up" under the Continue link. You will then get an Access Code. In your Client Portal, you can view a summary of Recent Activity, upload docs to us, and open recent notifications and tasks, as well as download returns and other documents from us. You can see Tax Payments due and be directed to a link to pay them, you can distribute K-1s, and you can also grant third-party temporary access to your portal.

Upcoming Deadlines

February 1 - Deadline for submitting tax documents to us for LLCs, Partnerships, S-corporations, and November year-end C-corporations for the March 16 filing deadline

February 2 - Deadline for most 1099 forms to recipients as well as to IRS via e-filing, provide W-2s to employees

March 1 - Deadline for submitting tax documents to us for Individuals, calendar year C-corporations, and Trusts for the April 15 filing deadline

We have completed our second round of proposals for the 2025 tax year. If you did not yet receive one, then your process and our billing for tax filing in 2026 will be the same as in previous years. Thank you for your patience!
