Hello Valley View Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying the Thanksgiving break. Just a quick reminder that Learning Journals should have come home with students. Please take the time to go through those will your child and celebrate as well as discuss areas of improvement. We appreciate your partnership!

As the weather starts to get colder, just a friendly reminder to send your child/ren with warm clothing for outdoor recess. We look forward to seeing students back on Tuesday, December 2nd.

It's going to be a great week! Go Valiant Knights!

Respectfully,

Jenni Tamblingson

Gift of Time- Volunteers Needed!

One of the most asked for gifts for a teacher is extra time. I would love to be able to grant this to teachers on Friday, 12/19! I am looking for parent/adult volunteers to lead/supervise an activity with classes on this day in order to give teachers some extra prep time. Prior to volunteering, if you have not done so already, you will need to fill out the online volunteer form which can be found HERE Also, please bring your license in on this day in order for the school to issue you a visitor badge. Thank you for helping us put this gift together for our teachers!

Learning Journals Coming Home

All Valley View classrooms will be sending home students' learning journals the week of November 24th. Students all have learning journals that they add to throughout the year tok eep track of their progress on grade level learning targets and goals. We will be sending them home school-wide three times this year- once per trimester- in order to keep communicating with families about progress. Inside the journal you should find a parent letter and some conversation prompts to use with your child. Thank you!
