Mother's Day, May 12
Mother's Day Prayer: To the Moms Who Are
To the Moms who are struggling.
To the Moms filled with incandescent joy.
To the Moms who are remembering children who have died, and pregnancies that miscarried.
To the Moms who decided other parents were the best choice for their babies.
To the Moms who adopted babies and loved them fiercely.
To those experiencing frustration or desperation in infertility.
To those who mothered colleagues, mentees, neighborhood kids, and anyone who needed it.
To those remembering Moms no longer with us.
Mother's Day is a day to honor the unyielding love and care for others we call 'Motherhood,' wherever we have found it and in whatever ways we have found to cultivate it within ourselves.

End 68 Hours of Hunger (NEW!)
We are partnering with a new ministry that helps confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school Friday and the free breakfast they receive in school Monday. This ministry is in addition to our Food Pantry and will support students in our community. Over the coming months, we will be sharing all the many ways you can get involved!
Food Pantry
Our Food Pantry provides emergency food assistance to all in need. BOGOs are a great way to shop for your family and donate to the pantry. Bring donations to the church on Sunday mornings or during the week, Mon-Thur, 9 am to 4 pm.
Faith Cafe
Volunteer with us on the 1st or 2nd Friday of the month or any Saturday from 10:30 to 1:30 pm. The work is easy, and the rewards are great! Talk to Linda Goode or Lynn Toms to find out more. Sign up at www.faithcafetampa.org or email info@palmaceiamethodist.org.

Manna Bags
Manna bags are small enough to fit in your car and easy to give to people in need in our community. They are filled with simple hygiene and food items. Pick them up in the breezeway on Sunday mornings. (A $5 donation is appreciated to help cover the cost of items inside.)
|
Electronic Recycling
If you have old computers, tablets, phones, printers, or other electronic items collecting dust in your home, bring them to the Palma Ceia Church Office Monday-Thursday, 9 am to 4 pm. All devices are securely recycled so that your information is safe. (Items not accepted: TVs and household appliances.)
