International Filmmakers Special Guests at MIFF 2020
Japanese Director and Canadian Producer Discuss Their Films at Virtual Screenings, Oct. 8-11

Sept. 28, 2020 - The Meaford International Film Festival (MIFF) is pleased to announce its special guest speakers for the 2020 virtual edition of the festival. Japanese Writer/Director Makoto Nagahisa of the Japanese film We Are Little Zombies and Writer/Director/Producer Greg Crompton of Canadian documentary Eddy's Kingdom will be discussing their films at this year's festival.

“Being able to book international filmmakers to talk about their films is one of the upsides of doing the festival virtually; I was able to book guests that in the past would not have been able to appear at a local festival. I am thrilled that our special guests will be able to bring a level of insight into their films that is not commonly accessible to audiences,” said Anna den Hengst, Artistic Director of MIFF.

Lukasz Pawlowski, Polish sociologist and political journalist, will also be discussing the film Corpus Christi, and African historian and festival programmer/curator Julie MacArthur will be providing insight into the Sudanese film You Will Die at Twenty.

Tickets cost $10 and each film is available on demand for a 48h period during the festival. A complete festival schedule as well as movie details can be found at www.meafordfilmfest.ca
