Happy Pi (3.14) Day!

Today, we embraced the delightful chaos of all things ā€œPIā€ at The Winston School! Our students indulged in a feast of pizza and pie, while also engaging in the hilariously messy tradition of ā€œpieā€-ing their teachers—talk about a fun way to show appreciation! This whimsical event not only brought giggles and whipped cream to our day but also strengthened the bonds within our vibrant community. At Winston, we cherish these moments that allow our students to express their creativity and enjoy the playful side of learning, all while nurturing personal connections with their teachers.

The Winston School offers a multi-sports program designed to provide fun and challenging athletic opportunities for our students. The benefits that come from participating in sports are more than physical; they develop essential life skills such as discipline and the ability to collaborate with others. Through sports, it is found that students can enhance their mental health by helping manage stress, anxiety, and cultivate lifelong appreciation for healthy living.

The Winston School plays in the CAPSES league which includes schools with similar student demographics. This school year, we were excited to add flag football to our program, which proved to be a popular, huge success with our students. This addition further enriched our sports program and allowed students to expand their interests and talents. It was a great time to see our students in new ways build stronger sportsmanship skills with their teammates and the other school players.

Fall football was followed by a fun basketball season that just wrapped up. Winston won 3 games and lost 0! Players and attendees alike enjoyed the fast-paced game and the chance to compete with other school teams. Closing out the school year, the incredibly popular softball season is now open!  Students are geared up and practicing to kick off with a game on March 21st. Check the schedule below - we welcome your attendance and cheers!
