Greetings!

Happy Tuesday morning to you all. It was a remarkably busy weekend for our valley, with great weather, numerous events, and the annual lacrosse tournament in Indio. If you tried renting a car over the past few days, you may have been out of luck as all were sold out. Business in the valley was strong.

Last week’s Public Officials Luncheon at Agua Caliente Resort/Casino/Spa, featuring Indio City Manager Bryan Montgomery, was both informative and well attended, with a packed room.

Our next Public Officials Luncheon will feature La Quinta City Manager Jon McMillen on February 25, at the Embassy Suites located off Calle Tampico and Santa Rosa Road in downtown La Quinta. Please click the link below to register for the event.

DVBA’s Board of Directors Installation Dinner is approaching quickly on January 30. This promises to be a momentous evening at Agua Caliente Resort/Casino/Spa in Rancho Mirage, held upstairs in the exclusive Sunset Room. The evening will include the swearing-in of existing directors committing to another two-year term, as well as new directors being sworn in for the first time. We will also host a Local event following dinner, along with presentations you will not want to miss. Seating is limited; please use the registration link below.

We also have a Committees Meeting scheduled for this afternoon. Please contact Vickie Murguia for more information at Vickie@TheDVBA.org or (760) 776-7001. Below are the four committees or councils the Desert Valleys Builders Association encourages you to consider joining or leading to help advance both your business goals and those of the DVBA:

  • Events
  • Membership
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Professional Women in Building

Best wishes,

James Brownyard
