Community News & Updates

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Hinsdale South High School is a terrific school for young people to learn and pursue their dreams. The well-deserved and longstanding reputation as an excellent school results from committed faculty and staff who care about students, motivated and well-rounded students, supportive parents and responsible adults, and the strength of our unique diversity. It is an honor to serve as Principal at Hinsdale South and in such an incredible school community.

My journey to the role of principal began in the classroom. I earned my Bachelor's from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Master’s from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, and a second Master’s degree from Cambridge College. I also hold two doctorate degrees. The first is a Doctorate of Ministry specializing in Pastoral Studies from Andersonville Theological Seminary, and the second is a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree from Capella University’s School of Education. I began my career as a high school teacher in Boston, Massachusetts, 26 years ago. Since then, my professional journey has taken exciting turns as a district leader, leadership coach, and school leader, all of which contributed to my growth and development and allowed me to work with some of the most brilliant people in the field.

We continue to face unusual circumstances in public education. It will take our collective efforts to maintain the sense of community we need to support our students. I believe high-quality teachers play a crucial role in our success. I also know that supportive parents/guardians and responsible adults are the foundation of what schools need to succeed. Moreover, I understand the importance of school leadership. It is going to take us all!

I hope the Hinsdale South High School community will remain united to ensure every student has a rich and rewarding learning experience. Please join our efforts to provide a structured environment where all students can learn. #SOUTHPRIDE...Let it ring true in the hearts of every Hornet!

Sincerely,

Patrick Hardy, Ph.D., D.Min.
Principal
Hinsdale South High School
