Wine and Food Pairing
HCEF partnered with Aloha Wine Foundation Chair/Master Sommelier Patrick Okubo and Advanced Sommelier Taro Kurobe to teach the basics of wine and food pairing at Kapiolani Community College.

KCC Instructor Aaron Chau's students explored tasting and flavor by pairing a variety of wines with foods: strawberries, avocadoes, beef jerky, blue cheese, pasta sauce, and sweet chili.

Aloha Wine Foundation
Here is what the students had to say:
Amazing speakers. Their breadth of knowledge, experience and clarity made wine approachable.

I learned how food pairing changes the taste of the wine

Food and wine pairings can be simple or complex depending upon the selections and guest preferences.

HCEF is pleased to partner with the Aloha Wine Foundation whose goal is to educate and inspire the Hawaii sommelier community.
Sign up for the April 25, HCEF Golf Tournament, Kapolei Golf Course.
