Holiday Basket Raffle

On Saturday, Oct. 19, community, joy and eager book/CD/DVD/puzzle and game buying made for THE most successful fall book sale your Friends of the Rowley Library have yet had in its young history. Thank you to all the volunteers, donors, buyers, staff, trustees, friends board members to help us raise $1,508 for happy programming at our library. This huge amount of money was raised in 5 short hours of the sale from 9-2. A huge THANK YOU again to all!

Next is our equally fun and exciting Holiday Basket Raffle 2024. Thanks in advance to all our basket donors, raffle ticket buyers, staff and friends board people for all the hard work to make this happen again this year. Find all the details here.

Help Us Grow Our Tree...Donate Today

Ongoing is our happy receipt of all your tax-deductible donations to the Friends 501c3. If you would like to see a leaf on the beautiful tree mural in the lobby, visit this link:

Donate

Each donor will have their name appear on a leaf of the tree on our new mural in recognition of your support. You can pay via PayPal or bring a check to the library made out to the Friends of the Rowley Library. Green leaves for individuals are $25. An orange family leaf is $50. And a gold top contributor leaf is $100. These donation leaves are replacing our traditional, costly May mailed membership drive.

Your support helps the library offer great programming and resources all year long!

Join us at our next meeting: Wednesday, December 4 at 7pm at the library.

Featured Artists:

Meet the artist:

Cecelia Searles is sharing her work in watercolor and pastel with us this month. Having loved nature and art since she was a child, she now finds herself with enough time to pursue their blending. The change of seasons reflected in the marshes, the forests, and the oceans, inspires her subject matter. Her goal is to evoke a shared sense of nature's ever-changing beauty and harmony through color and form.

Her art will be on display at the library through November. Love her work? Find it for sale at Post Road Framers.

In our Display Case:

Anya Ciarametaro is a lifelong North Shore resident and artist, inspired by the beauty of where we live and utilizing upcycled materials in her art. She learned to blow glass in college, and she fell head over heels in love. Now, she spends most of her time teaching fused glass, stained glass, flameworking, glass etching, and glassblowing at North Shore Glass School in Salem, MA. When she has downtime, she creates like crazy! All of her art is created by inspiration, not necessity for product. All her work can be found on her Etsy page anyaglassworks.etsy.com, at Holten Artisan Gifts in Danvers, and The Perfectly Imperfect Gift Shoppe in Topsfield. Want to learn?! Check out the glass school’s website: northshoreglassschool.com.
