We are welcoming Lauren Green of Pernod Ricard's Wine Division to re-introduce us to one of the original wineries in Sonoma County even before the AVA was established.
Kenwood Vineyards was the first still winery in California to be purchased by the global wine & spirit producers when it was acquired by Pernod Ricard in 2014.
Long a historical name in Sonoma, Kenwood was among the first in the area to update their vineyards and marketing and began concentrating on premium award-wining varietals. Korbel bought into, and then bought out the original owners, before selling it on to its current owners.
The resources and distribution channels offered by these multi-nationals have allowed the winemaking team at Kenwood to excel!
