Hot Summer Days?
And nights... at least in Northern California, anyway!
Summer is a time of expansion, of curiosity, of what might be unfolding anew.
Speaking of what's unfolding anew... I have BIG NEWs to share...
In January, I stepped in to take on a 3rd Grade class (full time!) to carry them to the end of the school year, as they needed a new (temporary?!) teacher. I had been teaching Handwork - knitting and crochet - for many years (minus the time I was taking care of my husband) but had never considered anything more than my Handwork teaching role (which was only 8 hours per week). In fact, I had not worked a full time job since my oldest was born 29 years ago.
Oh, and is it weird for me to mention that I truly "only" identify with myself as a Spiritual Mentor and Intuitive? (And Mom... I will always identify as Mom.)
Well, lo and behold, I just completed 3+ weeks in Colorado of Waldorf Teacher Training in a 26-month program and will be taking my class on to 4th Grade... and, of course, possibly beyond. (One year at a time, right?)
What's AMAZING about this unfoldment is how it's taken me fully by surprise! I meditated, prayed, stressed, processed, cried, wondered, resisted... but mostly, I LOVED. These children called me and I arrived. Life seems to be asking something of me that I had not ever considered and I'm still in wonderment over it... while I faithfully (sometimes fearfully) take each step onto the water and pray that the lily pad will appear. And, it keeps appearing.
These next several years will continue to DEMAND that we listen, that we walk in the direction of the uncertain, of the unknown, and of the heart.
What is Life asking of you? Are you listening?
