This month, our students learned about Veterans Day. At the Royalton Campus, we held an assembly where students explored the history and importance of the day...

At the Bethel Campus, we celebrated Feast Day with over 100 guests joining us to break bread together!..

Across both campuses, PreK–5 classrooms have been buzzing with learning. We also practiced our Relocation and Bus drills last week. Students did an excellent job. If we ever needed to relocate for real, we would notify guardians as soon as possible with details on what’s happening and when children can be picked up. Photo ID may be required at pickup.

There’s so much great work happening across WRVES—from the innovative learning in our fourth grades at SRES and BES to the energy in PE at both BES and SRES. Be sure to check them out!

Principal Laflamme

I find myself reflecting on the many things I am grateful for in my professional life as we head into the Thanksgiving break. Working in this community is a privilege, and I am continually reminded of how deeply our families, students, and staff care about one another.

As we head into the Thanksgiving Holiday we have lots of festivities, celebrations and traditions unique to White River Valley. On Tuesday November 25th we will hold our 3rd Annual WRV Turkey Trot. This is the culminating event in a number of Advisory Group competitions held leading up to the Thanksgiving break. These include the creation of themed food collection boxes, food drive, and the preparation of 24 full Thanksgiving meals that will be delivered to families in our communities. Tuesday afternoon students gather by advisory groups and consider the things that they are grateful for, dress up and run/walk a short race around South Royalton all to celebrate and be in community. There are many students and staff working to make this all happen but I must give special appreciation to Ms Wolf and Senior Ava Patch who have been the driving force behind this event since its inception in 2023.
