Thinking Homegrown Sage by Ellie Lightfoot

At the Garden Goddesses Happy Gardening Hour at Weiss Bros Nursery I spoke on the many attributes, uses, growing tips and processing tricks for Sage. It is a beautiful herb you can grow in your own space; whether in the ground, a pot or a raised bed garden. Here are 5 uses you can use this month:

  • Infuse sage leaves into honey, add to a cup of hot water for a soothing throat remedy
  • Add crumbled dry leaves to butternut squash soup
  • Add to sourdough bread dough before baking
  • Craft sage-infused olive oil for salad dressing
  • Steep as an herbal gargle for sore throats

If you’re interested in the entire list of 18 uses drop me an email: lightredfoot@gmail.com

Happy Gardening!
