| | A Message from the Director of Academic & Learning Support: | |
Dear Carondelet Community,
It’s finally starting to feel like fall, which means sweaters, pumpkin spice lattes, and here at Carondelet, the final stretch of the first semester. With only five academic weeks before finals, we are officially entering crunch time. We want to make sure that all of our students finish strong, to the best of their abilities.
It’s important for us all to remember that managing an academic course load in high school is challenging. Students will likely feel overwhelmed at times, and they might be reluctant to reach out for support. I think it’s especially important that we all remind them that getting support is a necessary part of being a good student. Nobody reaches success entirely on their own.
One of the wonderful things about Carondelet is that there are many ways to find support within our community. Here are some recommendations for students over the next few weeks:
Teacher Office Hours
All teachers have office hours Tuesday through Thursday after school. This is a great way for students to get individualized feedback, clarify course content, and ensure that they are strategic in how they approach their work.
Peer Tutoring
We’ve launched our new peer tutoring platform, PeerKonnect! Students can create accounts, find National Honor Society tutors, and schedule tutoring sessions. Tutoring takes place on campus between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Here are a couple of links that can get you started:
Learning Hub
The Learning Hub takes place every day before school, during seventh period, and after school in the library. Students can come work with an Academic & Learning Support team member, use the space to work individually, or collaborate with classmates.
We look forward to working with our students however we can to ensure that they finish the semester well.
In partnership,
Michael Schooler
Director of Academic & Learning Support

The Countdown to Finals is On!
Believe it or not, we're already counting down to the end of the semester! While finals begin Tuesday, December 15, students have fewer school days remaining than the calendar might suggest.
📅 Twenty-four instructional days left before finals!
📝 November 16: Next progress reports, an important opportunity to check grades and make adjustments.
🦃 November 23–27: Thanksgiving Break (no classes).
🎯 December 15: Finals begin!
With additional days off on November 6 and 11, the time will go quickly! Now is the time to stay on top of assignments, connect with teachers during office hours, and take advantage of the LearningHub and teacher office hours.
If you are interested in the PeerKonnect peer tutoring program, reach out to Director of Academic and Learning Support Michael Schooler.
A little attention now can make a big difference in December!

Need a Tutor?
Carondelet’s new peer tutoring platform, PeerKonnect, is up and running. On this platform, students can browse our National Honor Society tutors to find the right match and schedule tutoring appointments. Students can also use the filter feature to find tutors with expertise in specific classes in which they need support. Tutoring takes place on the Carondelet campus from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM every day. Follow these instructions to set up a learner account on PeerKonnect. This video can also help walk you through the process. Questions? Contact Michael Schooler.

Carondelet families, help us spread the word! Invite your 7th- and 8th-grade friends and family to our Open House on Sunday, November 15, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
They will experience a rally, meet club leaders, attend academic demos, tour campus, and experience the Sisterhood in action.

| | | |
Native American Heritage Month

| | | |
Student Winter Outerwear & Uniform Reminders
With the cooler months upon us, students may now wear plain, solid-colored outerwear jackets or raincoats over their Carondelet or De La Salle sweatshirts for warmth and protection from the weather. Please remember that flannels, fuzzy sweatshirts, and non-uniform sweatshirts are not permitted.
During colder weather, black leggings or tights are always allowed—and encouraged—under uniform skirts. However, sweatpants, pajama pants, and non-approved athletic team warm-ups are not part of the school uniform and should not be worn.

School Bus Safety Updates
As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, dash cameras have recently been installed on our school buses. These cameras record the road and portions of the bus interior (primarily focused on the driver) to support safe driving and accident prevention.
This is also a great time to remind families of our bus safety expectations! Students should remain seated, facing forward, and buckled while the bus is in motion, use appropriate voice levels, and avoid disruptive behavior. Eating, drinking (except water in securely closed bottles), and changing clothes are not permitted on the bus. Students should also use earbuds when listening to music and take all belongings and trash with them.
Students who do not follow bus safety expectations may be referred to the campus deans. Thank you for helping us keep our buses safe and comfortable for everyone!
