FARM

Greens Galore in the Greenhouse

A Sea of New Growth

As we move into April, onion seedlings are almost ready to move outside for hardening off before planting; an abundance of early summer brassicas have sprouted (broccoli, cauliflower, kale and cabbage); and heat mats are helping to gently nudge heat-loving plants (tomatoes and eggplants) along. Plant sale seedlings are preparing to enter home gardens, while flower seedlings remind us that come July, there will be pick-your-own flower fields bursting with color. It's not too late to participate in this season's CSA (some options are already sold out) or Green Dollars program.

Help Bring Farm-Scale Compost to Land's Sake

As responsible stewards of the land, Land's Sake uses regenerative farming practices - compost, cover crops, mulch, limited soil disturbance, and no synthetic chemicals - to protect the environment and grow healthier food.

Land's Sake is building a farm-scale compost system with the help of a generous grant from the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources. We need to raise a final $24,000 to fully fund the $70,000 cost of the project. Every donation helps grow healthy plants that are better for people AND the environment.
