🌟Edgewalker Facilitator Spotlight

Hello, fellow Edgewalkers!

This month, we are honoring the Edgewalker quality of Vision—The gift of being able to see what others cannot – possibilities, trends, the future, guidance from

something greater than oneself.

It’s with great pleasure that we shine this month’s Edgewalker Facilitator Spotlight on Cari Jacobs-Crovetto.

Cari Jacobs-Crovetto

ï»żCari Jacobs-Crovetto’s life has been a study in the power of the "second path." To the corporate world, Cari is a powerhouse executive who has sat at the highest tables—serving as a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and executive leader, scaling five Bay Area startups (including Wall Street solar giant Sunrun), and shaping iconic global brands like Levi’s, P&G, Lexus, and Coca-Cola. Her visionary marketing leadership even earned her a spot on Forbes’ Top 50 Game-Changing CMOs. Yet, while climbing the peak of corporate success, her internal journey was equally rigorous. For over three decades, Cari fiercely studied mindfulness, meditation, and somatic healing, eventually leaving the traditional corporate grind to bridge these two worlds full-time.

A certified executive coach and elite facilitator, Cari brings a background that includes training as a T-Group facilitator for Stanford’s renowned Interpersonal Dynamics program (affectionately known as the "Touchy-Feely" program), alongside advanced certifications from UC Berkeley’s Executive Coaching Institute and Google’s Search Inside Yourself. Her work is a masterful blend of "high-stakes corporate reality" and "somatic healing," helping leaders dismantle the unique anxiety, loneliness, and disconnection that often accompany high-performance roles.

Cari’s philosophy, "Whole Self. Whole World," posits that when we wake up to who we truly are, our power to influence and innovate is multiplied infinitely. She works with business leaders who are tired of the old "picket-fence" myths of success and are ready to lead with more awareness, intuition, and authentic courage.

As a facilitator, Cari is known for her "no-flinching" approach. She helps clients find their stride in the most important moments—whether they are navigating conflict, managing difficult peer relationships, or pivoting through the AI-driven changes in the modern workforce. She is a believer that work can be world-changing, and—most importantly—fun.

For Cari, Edgewalker principles are lived by staying "awake" in the corporate machine. She serves as a guide for those who want to build the future without losing their humanity, helping leaders find their authentic voice to lead with ease and comfort.

"To live in a world of “enlightened humanity” Deepening self-awareness, self-understanding, intuition and creativity has the power to change lives and the world - and when we wake up to who we truly are and how we interact to people and life around us, then our power to influence, innovate and change the world around us is multiplied, infinitely."

Whether she is facilitating a group dynamic session or coaching a leader through a high-stakes transition, Cari embodies the Edgewalker spirit by integrating deep somatic awareness into the fabric of business.

Q&A Session with Cari Jacobs-Crovetto

🌉What worlds do you walk between & how do you build those bridges?

For the last three decades, I have walked between the worlds of corporate America and Buddhist meditation, from radical expression in places like Burning Man to breakthrough innovation in startups like Sunrun, Modcloth and Torch. Some might call me a corporate hippie (though I am partial to boho punk rocker!). In many ways, this was not a conscious choice but a necessity.

In the earlier years of my own leadership, my performance reviews often included similar feedback: you might be the best strategic marketer we have ever encountered, but your "passion" gets in the way. And while I could have heard this as a direct attack to all emotional terrain of being a woman, I chose instead to take some accountability. I was too emotional, chaotic, dramatic and at times irrational. I wanted to learn to be more graceful, mature, and more balanced. And so I dove into self-awareness, which was a direct glide path to Buddhist studies.

To date, I have sat almost 8000 hours in silent meditation. I have traveled and studied in India and Thailand. I have strung out and wrung out every part of myself - the good, the bad and the just plain malicious - for healing. Not only did this change me as a leader, it changed me as a person. And it changed my entire life in the process.

✹What is on your leading edge?

The second chapter of my prescriptive memoir is called "Sight." I could not see until I was almost 6 years old due to a congenital disorder affecting my eyes. So, I built my fifth sense...and even my sixth. I can remember the day I first got glasses, and the world contracted. I love living in the "way out" dimensions where intuition, gut instinct and quantum presence drive how we guide our way through life.

All of this is to say, my intuition was strong coming into this world and I have honed it through silence and being in alternate realities and studying ancient wisdom practices. And while you would never know it to meet me on the street, dare I say I am an everyday psychic using my powers to help leaders find their way.

I teach leaders to listen deeply to their own intuition, to listen to others with more empathy, to resolve conflict by understanding intent and impact and I return them into connection with their own soul.

🔼What can you sense but not yet see?

We can all sense AI is changing everything. But what I sense is that AI is waking us up. The more we understand how we program AI, the more we will understand that we too have programmed ourselves. And when we realize that, we can stop living as slaves to our own minds and open up to our collective journey in a new way - the way of enlightenment, wonder, care and sustainability. We are on the cusp of breaking --and that might not be such a bad thing!

YOUR INVITATION TO A SACRED PAUSE

Come home to nature, stillness, & your unique soul expression

Most of us live in doing mode.

We work hard. We manage life, family, relationships. We respond to it all. We hold everything together. But inside we feel anxious, disconnected, stressed and uncentered.

Somewhere beneath all the motion, something quieter longs for space — this retreat is an invitation to pause. To be still, to be in nature and to be with your own unique true self.

To remember who you are beneath the roles, the aloneness, the striving, the stress and the noise.

You are invited to join Cari Jacobs-Crovetto and James Rosser for a 5-day meditation and creative expression retreat.
