The newly adopted Charter formalizes the Foundation's purpose and mission to make grants, donations, and strategic investments around four central pillars: education and scholarships; women and youth advancement; humanitarian aid and disaster relief; and anti-human trafficking.
On Tuesday, ACF celebrated Giving Tuesday, calling on the AAHOA community to come together around a shared goal – to raise $10,000 to support families rebuilding after disaster, students reaching for their dreams, and communities finding their footing again. Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi Introduces the Brand USA Restoration Act
Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) recently introduced the Brand USA Restoration Act to restore $80 million in federal funding for Brand USA, the nation's public-private tourism partnership. Brand USA markets the U.S. to international travelers, supporting millions of American jobs. The bill aims to replenish the Travel Promotion Fund, which lost 80 percent of its funds due to cuts in President Trump's One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act.
Restoring Brand USA funding was a top advocacy priority at the 2025 Fall National Advocacy Conference, where AAHOA Members met with Rep. Krishnamoorthi. AAHOA strongly endorses the legislation.

Building Guest Loyalty Through Inclusive Marketing | A recent Expedia study found that 70 percent of underserved travelers are more likely to plan trips when they see themselves portrayed in travel promotions. And when these travelers feel seen, they are more likely to prioritize the brands that promote their unique identity. To attract underserved guests, hotels must embrace inclusive marketing, an approach that intentionally represents people of various backgrounds, identities, and abilities. U.S. RevPAR -0.7% y/y last week; Massive bifurcation during holiday week & continued hurricane y/y comp
As Truist Securities wrote, "Overall, U.S. RevPAR was -0.7% y/y for the week ending 11/29/2025, per STR/ CoStar, below the prior week's result of +0.0% y/y and above the trailing 10-week average of -1.4% y/y. Last week had light travel as expected given Thanksgiving week. In a leisure-heavy week we can see clear evidence of significant RevPAR bifurcation across chain scales, Luxury RevPAR was +6.6% y/y, Upper Upscale was +4.1%, and all other chain scales were down. Economy RevPAR was a strikingly weak -9.1%. Some headwinds to lower ADR hotels continue to stem from a tough y/y hurricane comp but results also reflect weak middle class spend. Upscale RevPAR: -1.9% y/y; Upper Midscale RevPAR: -3.8% y/y."
