Greetings!

In these continued stressful times, our thoughts are with everyone across the globe - including here in this country - as we all cope with the many health, educational and socio-economic challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is in such moments that we realize the value of mutual support, collaboration and friendship, and the uttermost importance of "HOPE". We are extremely humbled that despite the many challenges, our extended network of supporters has demonstrated that in the face of adversity, we don't give up. Together, we continue to create a ripple effect of hope across the globe, and we do our best to provide assistance to those who are in most need. For being part of this global ripple, we give you our sincerest gratitude.

For the past 13 years, every October, we organized an annual Sahaya Walks event to support 35 HIV-affected children and youth in our programs in India. As you can expect, this year due to COVID-19, we will have this as a virtual event, on Sunday October 11, at 4 pm (PST; California time). While we will miss seeing many of you in person, this year's event provides a new opportunity: everyone can participate, regardless of where you live. This will be Sahaya's first virtual event. Registration is FREE. Donations are welcome, but not required, as we know that many of you are already generously supporting our programs throughout the year. So see this as an opportunity to see some of our faces, and meet many other members of our Sahaya network.

The theme of the event is HOPE.

The program will be approximately 1 hour. We promise to make it a program filled with exciting presentations on Sahaya's programs and our beneficiaries, raffle prizes, inspiration and entertainment (including performances by singers Dezmond Meeks, David Hernandez and Malynda Hale). At the end we will have Q&A and chat.

During the program, we will show a video-montage of Sahaya well-wishers across the globe. We invite you to submit a short video, with a message of hope, or even just a simple meet and great. Click here to learn more about the video-montage and submit something by October 8. Even if you are not available to attend our October 11 event, this gives an opportunity to convey your message of hope to others!

While registration is FREE, it is required to receive the link and password to the online zoom event. You can register for the event in different ways: by clicking here, send an email to koen@sahaya.org, or simply reply to this e-mail and tell you want to join. You will receive the zoom info a few days before the event. You can register and/or make a tax-deductible donation by clicking on the link below.
Thank you again for all your support!
