The enemy is relentless. His strategy is simple: wear you out. Drain your faith. Make you doubt. Make you quit. But here is what Satan does not want you to know: while he is working against you, Jesus is working for you.
In Luke 22:31, Jesus told Peter, "Simon, Simon, indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail." Jesus knew the attack was coming and He was already interceding. He is doing the same for you right now.
The enemy's greatest weapon is not your circumstances. It is your doubt. If he can get you to stop believing, he can get you to stop moving. Satan wants you to doubt God's plan, doubt God's love, and doubt your own ability to get back up after a fall.
But Jesus prays specifically that your faith will not fail you in your most difficult moments.
The enemy wants you to fail God's plan for your life. But Jesus wants you to fulfill it. There is a critical difference between falling and failing. Peter denied Jesus three times, one of the greatest falls in all of Scripture.
Yet Peter did not fail God's plan. He got back up, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and became one of the greatest apostles in history, preaching one sermon that saved three thousand souls in a single day.
Your job is not to be perfect. Your job is to keep getting up.
Stay filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18 NKJV). Encourage yourself in the Lord as David did (1 Samuel 30:6 NKJV). Stay connected to your church family where faith is stirred and hope is restored. And never forget that God has already given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV).
God is not giving up on you. He never has and He never will. Jesus is still praying and that changes everything.
See you Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. Invite a loved one to join us!
God bless you,
Pastor Artie
