Dear TG The Gym Members,
We want to take a moment to update you on an important matter involving the TG The Gym brand.
On May 7, 2026, TG The Gym filed a federal lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California to protect our trademark and ensure that all TG locations operate with proper authorization and oversight. The case is titled Jackson et al. v. Lyons et al., Case No. 3:26‑cv‑02883.
Recently, we became aware that a proposed TG location in Rancho Bernardo was being marketed and sold without proper authorization. According to the federal lawsuit, this location was licensed without the required approvals and without the knowledge of the trademark owner.
To be clear:
The Rancho Bernardo location is NOT an authorized TG The Gym location.
It is NOT affiliated with TG The Gym.
It does NOT have permission to use the TG name or branding.
We took immediate legal action to protect the TG brand, our members, and our legitimate licensees. Our goal is simple: to ensure that every TG location meets the standards, culture, and authenticity that our community expects.
All existing TG The Gym locations remain open, fully operational, and unaffected by this dispute.
We know how much this brand means to our members — many of you have been with us for years, so of you for over 40 years and your trust matters. We will continue to keep you informed as the legal process moves forward. We are not associated with the gyms in Victorville, Apple Valley or Palmdale.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our team directly.
Thank you for being part of the TG family.
Sincerely,
George Jackson
