North Sea Pines Drive Phase 2:

Sea Pines CSA's contractors continue conducting Major Roadway and Infrastructure Reconstruction Improvements along North Sea Pines Drive.

Due to limitations on working space and the need to excavate stormwater drainage pipe and install replacement pipe, periodic lane closures at the Ocean Gate (located at Cordillo Parkway and South Forest Beach Drive) will be utilized.
Ocean Gate Drainage Work

Discovery of Utility Conflicts in Project Zone Causes Schedule Update to Sea Pines Ocean Gate Lane Closures

  • Inbound Lane Closures at the Ocean Gate will continue through Friday, December 10 from 7a-5p.

  •  Work at the Ocean Gate will not occur over the weekend and both lanes will be open (December 11th - 12th)

  • The Outbound Lane Closure at the Ocean Gate will begin Monday, December 13th. The stormwater drainage work will take approximately 3 days to complete, weather permitting. The outbound lane will be CLOSED from 7 AM - 5 PM, December 13th through December 15th.

Spotted Sandpiper Road Drainage Work

Work continues on Sandpiper Road. This work is expected to take 1-2 weeks, weather permitting. Drainage work on Catbird Lane will follow.

General Project Reminders

  • North Sea Pines Drive Roadway Reconstruction will continue through January. Heavy traffic delays should be expected on North Sea Pines Drive as crews will utilize single-lane and temporary full lane closures along this roadway to accommodate the work. Traffic control will be in place, obey the speed limit within the construction zone.
  • The leisure trail along North Sea Pines Drive from The Sea Pines Beach Club to Lawton Drive is closed to bike and pedestrian traffic. Please refer to the Leisure Trail detour map here for more information. 
  • The Beachwalks located at #39 & #40 are not currently accessible from North Sea Pines Drive due to this project.
  • Sea Pines CSA will continue to keep the community updated throughout this project through our community emails and our website at www.seapinesliving.com/seapinesdrive.
Sea Pines CSA Maintenance Projects Around the Community
Stormwater Ditch Cleaning

Stormwater Ditch Cleaning on Greenwood Drive (near the Welcome Center) was completed this week. Ditch cleaning near the open space behind homes along North Sea Pines Drive (#76 - #70) will begin the week of December 13th.
Stormwater Repairs

Stormwater repairs will occur near #70 Club Course Drive. One lane of traffic will be closed, and flagmen will be present.

A catch basin repair will occur on Wildwood Road next week.
Roadway Asphalt Repairs

Minor asphalt repairs began this week and will continue the week of December 13th along Canvasback Road, Greenwood Drive (near Loblolly Road), Black Tern Road, Long Marsh Lane, Willow Oak West, weather permitting.

Traffic control will be in place, as needed.
Stormwater Drainage Repairs at South Beach

Sea Pines CSA's contractor completed well-pointing operations for drainage repairs and began excavation near Wren Pond this week. The drainage repairs will take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Leisure Trail Repairs

Backfilling edges of the leisure trails throughout the community will begin the week of December 13th .
Lagoon Tree Trimming

Lagoon Tree Trimming will take place the week of December 13th at Willow Oak and Willow Oak West.
Survey Work Scheduled

Survey work will begin at the end of December for future infrastructure improvements on Red Cardinal Road, Wagon Road and Snowy Egret Road and will take approximately 5-6 weeks to complete. Underground utilities will be marked as part of the survey work. Traffic impacts are not expected.

Keep Sea Pines Safe
The speed limit in Sea Pines is 25 unless otherwise posted. Sea Pines Security officers are on patrol 24-hours per day. Our officers are deputized by the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division. Within the boundaries of the Sea Pines Community, they have the same powers as those of a Deputy Sheriff. They operate radar devices and are able to write traffic citations.

2021 Sea Pines Trolley Holiday Schedule

Red Route:
  • Thursday, December 23 - 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Friday, December 31 - 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Blue & Green Routes:
  • Friday, December 31 - 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Trolley Safety Reminders:

  • Request to riders: Please be advised, close contact amongst passengers is expected. Passengers ride at their own risk. If you feel sick, have a fever, cough or other symptoms, please stay home and do not ride the trolley. Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face.

  • Personal Protection Equipment is required: All passengers and trolley drivers will be required to wear face coverings when aboard the trolley. Refusal to wear a face covering or acting in an unsafe manner will result in denial of entry or expulsion from this service.

2022 Sea Pines CSA Residential Assessments

At the November 16th Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors meeting, the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors unanimously approved the 2022 budget and the related 2022 assessment amounts.

The 2022 assessment for an improved lot will be $1,152 and $686 for an unimproved lot (once a lot has been improved, it is considered to be always improved). The 2022 invoices will be mailed out by the end of this week to the notice of mailing address on file with Sea Pines CSA.

Assessment payments are due by January 10, 2022. If you have any questions, please contact Tracey McNeill at traceym@csaseapines.com.

Developed Property Landscaping Maintenance Reminders
  • Roofs, gutters, driveways, and other hard surfaces shall be cleared of pine straw and other vegetative debris with reasonable frequency so that there is no accumulated buildup.
  • Fallen leaves are permitted as landscaping ground cover, but shall be maintained to a neat, clean appearance.
  • Limbs, sticks, fronds, fallen leaves (not used as ground cover of bedded areas) and other such vegetative debris shall be removed from the Property

Beaufort County Offers Free Electronics Recycling Event: Saturday, December 11

The Beaufort County Department of Solid Waste and Recycling will host two free electronics recycling events for County residents.

The next events will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations on Saturday, December 11:

  • Beaufort County Public Works, 9 Benton Field Road, Bluffton
  • Beaufort County Public Works, 140 Shanklin Road, Beaufort

Six Oaks Cemetery: Wreaths Across America

Six Oaks Cemetery will be honoring our veterans this Christmas during their Twelfth Annual Wreaths Across America ceremony. You are cordially invited to attend the ceremony, which will be held outside, on Saturday, December 18th at noon.
