A Letter from the CEO...
We had an amazing summer filled with countless fun opportunities and exciting experiences for our members. It was heart-warming to see the friendships our youth developed while visiting community partners like the Children’s Discovery Museum, Iron Coyote, Mass VR, and Camp Timber Pointe, just to name a few. These friendships and programs were enhanced by the amazing volunteers who selflessly spent time with our members. I was always aware when Mrs. Jen (Seidl) was in, because I could hear the laughter and joy the kids were expressing during the programs she brought to our members. It was also fun to see the Kiwanis Club bring the camping experience to the Club for a second Summer. The Young Men’s Club also joined us at the Clubhouse for one of their weekly meeting, visiting with and having lunch with our members. The Cargill Cares Committee also surprised our members by having Mr. Softee provide our members with ice cream.
In addition to our dedicated community partners and volunteers, we have a very passionate team. They build strong, supportive relationships with our members, reinforcing the confidence in our members that their dreams are within reach.
Bloomington-Normal is an amazing community. The Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal is extremely blessed and grateful for all the love and support our community provides the youth. All of our partners, volunteers and staff help make GREAT FUTURES possible! Thank you!
I CARE,

The sun is shining, the birds are singing. Our world is slowly, cautiously going back to “normal”, or more so creating our new normal.
This summer we were able to expand our room capacity to accommodate for more youth. We found that perfect balance of 12 – 15 youth per space. It is enough people that you have several commonalities as well as some differences. It creates a dynamic that facilitates positive relationships and allows practice of those essential skills. For the high-quality Club experience we are making this the new normal. Small, intimate settings that foster a sense of belonging for everyone involved.
|
|
"I'm just a volunteer..." This is what we hear all the time from the volunteers who serve alongside us each day. We are here to tell you there is no “just a” at our Club. Each and every individual that wants to work with our youth or support our team is appreciated to the fullest.
Some of our most under recognized volunteers are our interns. From colleges and universities near and far, this special group of volunteers help to ensure that our organization runs as efficiently as possible.
This summer...
